Documentary filmmaking

I am currently working on “Cut. Burnt. Frozen” an experimental documentary in 3 parts, about the past 100 years of being a woman in Romania, through the stories of women in my family. Starting from the family photo archive, household items, and kitchen recipes they left, I open a larger conversation about the female body in relationship with power and politics, and the ideas we inherit in our families.

University teaching

As an Associate Professor at SNSPA, I designed the Digital Writing course from the ground up, inspired by top university programs and tailored to the needs of future creatives.

Over the course of teaching more than 100 advertising students, I focused on creating an engaging, hands-on learning experience, bringing in industry guest speakers, running interactive workshops, and offering one-on-one feedback to help students grow.

I sometimes doodle for fun and for my friends’ projects, using ProCreate on iPad and Adobe Creative Suite. I keep myself busy testing & experimenting with gen AI tools, that can be implemented in content design and creative workflows.

How can we have more meaningful conversations and deeper connections with people around us? For 30 days, I made an experiment and asked people for help, to document what happens. Nudging myself to ask that extra question, I discovered the most amazing stories and published them daily on Instagram, reaching an audience of over 30.000 unique visitors and a handful of live workshop participants.

Featured in the DoR magazine print edition and Live Show, in front of 900 attendees at the National Theater in Bucharest.
